L9741 Automotive Engine ECU Power Supply IC - Triple Regulator, CAN/K-Line Transceiver
L9741 is a highly integrated power management and communication IC purpose-built for automotive engine control units (ECUs).
This device integrates three independent +5V voltage regulators to supply the microcontroller, onboard sensors, and peripheral circuits. The main VDD output delivers over 400mA with 2% accuracy and short-circuit protection, while two additional auxiliary regulators provide up to 100mA each for sensor power.
The chip eliminates the need for multiple discrete components by combining power management, reset handling, and communication functions into a single package. It integrates a high-speed CAN transceiver and a K-Line driver for diagnostic communication, supporting both modern vehicle networks and legacy protocols.
Designed specifically for harsh under-hood environments, the device operates across a wide temperature range and includes comprehensive protection features such as over-temperature shutdown, under-voltage detection, and short-circuit protection.
Frequency signal processing for crankshaft position sensors is also handled internally, simplifying ECU design and reducing overall system cost.
This AEC-Q100 qualified IC is a proven solution for engine management systems in cars, trucks, and motorcycles, contributing to improved performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions compliance.
