30529 – 5V Power Driver Module IC for Automotive Engine ECU
The 30529 is a dedicated 5V power supply and driver module IC designed for automotive engine control units (ECUs).
It integrates a high-precision 5V voltage regulator capable of delivering continuous output current up to 500mA, with excellent load and line regulation over the full automotive temperature range.
The device also includes multiple protected low-side drivers, which can directly control external loads such as relays, solenoids, or indicator lamps commonly found in engine management systems.
An integrated watchdog timer and reset generator ensure safe microcontroller operation, triggering system reset in case of software or power anomalies.
The 30529 operates from a wide input voltage range of 5.5V to 28V, with transient tolerance up to 40V, covering cold crank, load dump, and other harsh automotive electrical conditions.
Built-in protection features include overcurrent limiting, thermal shutdown, reverse battery protection, and output short-circuit handling.
All diagnostic information, including undervoltage and overtemperature status, is available via dedicated status pins for direct feedback to the ECU main processor.
This IC meets AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualification, making it suitable for under-hood and engine compartment installations where high reliability is mandatory.
The 30529 is an ideal choice for 12V and 24V commercial vehicle engine ECUs, as well as transmission control modules requiring a robust 5V power rail with built-in load driving capability.
